More on Beliefs and Healing, Living Naked

Happy New Year!

Best wishes from the Renegade Doc for a Healing, Healthy, Growing and Prosperous advance in your life as we turn another page on the calendar!

We started off reviewing briefly the concept of last week – how to change belief by wedding thought to emotion to thus change and heal our beliefs and thereby changing our “reality”.

The idea of “Belief” is both huge and popular and it turns out my good friend Chuck Bartok also discussed this as it relates to business on his talkshoe show right before Christmas.  Be sure to listen in on the recording!

This idea is also the enthralling and encouraging concept behind the story of Secretariat, the film we saw for the second time last night with friends.  I’ve seen and talked about this before, but it is well worth the time and thought!

We then discussed an example, a person with a high frequency hearing loss on the right side only.  Not hearing has to do with fear and isolation and turmoil and anger.  Even though some of those issues may not be obvious at first thought, knowing that the physical is a reflection of the emotion/spirit provides place to begin to ask questions about these issues.  To simply treat the physical is to ignore the deep issues and real causes, but by asking questions about these issues one can begin to open up, become aware, and find true and deep healing.

I love the way Robert Williams of Psych-K describes this link between physical and emotional.  He says our physical body and world is a three dimensional printout of our beliefs.

If you notice, most dis-eases have a component of fear or anger or both.  It has been said that stress is the major cause of most illness, but I would amend that generality to say that Fear and/or Anger are the major cause of all Stress and Dis-ease.

The next question then is why do we hold on to fear and anger?

Scripture points out that true, real, mature Love casts out Fear, so for whatever reason we are not being and receiving Love.

I personally believe that most of us don’t want to be truly Loved at our deepest Heart; it would change us, feel too good and too freeing.  We subconsciously know that our fear has brought us to where we are and though it may cause some problems we are at least comfortable with knowing we can handle it.  To let go would put us in a place of not being able to handle something we do not know.

So what do we do?

There are many ways to get there, no doubt, but one technique that has worked for Lester Levinson and now Larry Crane is the Release Technique.  Interestingly, the main ingredient in this is to Love!  (Who’s surprised??)

I propose that another way – the best way – is to “Live Naked.”

By this I do not mean to be taken over by lust or inappropriate sexual behavior – just the opposite.  Rather, “naked” means completely open and vulnerable at all levels: spiritually with Father loving and being loved , mentally with ourselves as we ask the questions about our issues, emotionally with ourselves and others as we admit to how we feel and react, and even physically with ourselves and others without having to play any games, put on any fronts or manipulate other’s ideas about us.

This is a bit Renegade, I admit, but this is how Father first put us on the planet and is His highest and best plan for us.  Why settle for less?

Be sure to listen to the show to get the bigger picture, and we will talk more about and delve into this concept more fully in future shows.  Hang around, tune in and join the discussion!

Finally, we told the story of a Christmas gift I got, a twisty puzzle, that looks very simple but provides the perfect illustration for how we need to approach life.

Be, Do, Learn.

Until next time, begin to “be” open and “naked” and

Go in Health!

Blessings,

Dr Jon

A Sample of Renegadopathy, Metaphors, Living “Orgasmically”

Today we began with a sample of how Dr Jon, the Renegade Doc, would approach a problem.

The problem is: what if a person had gall bladder issues, plantar fasciitis, and sinus issues all at the same time which have been present for several years?

The approach is to begin with the precept that the physical is not just physical but spiritual which reflects into physical.  So rather than just dealing with the physical, begin at the spiritual.

Gall bladder means bitterness, condemning, pride.
Plantar fasciitis is inflammation of the base of the foot.  Feet have to do with understanding of self, others and life.  Inflammation is anger, inflamed thinking, fear.
Sinusitis has to do with being upset with someone close to you.

So begin to ask those questions: what and who am I mad about/with, frustrated about/with, not understanding?

And if it has been present for “x” years, go back to about “x+2″ years ago and ask the same questions about what was happening in your life then.

This requires being willing and open to go deep within yourselves, to be “naked” with yourself and your feelings and how you were affected by the occurences that began to cause these problems.

Meanwhile, in terms of physical, change the diet, take the supplements, do the exercise, get the massage, find the homeopathic remedy that deals with each symptom.  Use the larger toolbox.

This conversation brought up the issue of how to obtain BioDefense.  I have set up the website BioDefense4u.com so you could order it, but realized this week that there are too many hoops to go through and some links not working properly.  So Saturday I spent the time to make it easier and more straightforward for you to get this amazing product.

I also called my “business guru” Chuck Bartok and he gave me some ideas and directions about how to improve the process.

That led to the conversation about the mindset issues I have toward business.  I have realized that I am a student/teacher, not a businessman.  That affects what I do and how well I attract and generate money (not well!).  We discussed some practical implications concerning the MAR and how it could be used more widely as a means of biometric screening for companies to improve both employee health and employee productivity.

To do better in business, it is time for me to change the metaphor with which I describe myself.  I listened to Tony Robbins this week and he talks a lot about metaphors.  This is a very helpful way to approach life, and, in fact, is how our brain works.  We see and feel by pictures, both in our minds and with the word pictures we paint with our tongues.

So instead of calling myself a “teacher” where I sit behind a desk and let people come in to receive all the “wealth” I have to give them, perhaps I could see myself as a “business owner”.  In that picture I would see myself as going out, speaking, talking to people, setting up ad campaigns and also letting people come in and purchase things while developing ongoing relationships.  The difference between the two pictures could/will have profound effects on my life and behavior.

Likewise, changing your metaphors can profoundly change your life.

Finally, we discussed briefly the work of Dr. Amen, a psychiatrist who does brain scans in exploring brain traum.  I walked away with two major points from the discussion I listened to.

One was that even subtle deficiencies or inadequacies in the brain can have significant effects in daily life and behavior.  Things like hypertension, diabetes or even mild trauma generate problems.

The next is that when “God walks in the room”, as Dr. Amen describes a profound spiritual experience, the temporal lobe has a specific functioning pattern.  This pattern is exactly the same seen during an orgasm!

Therefore, the ancient eastern concept of sexuality being spiritual or connecting us to the spiritual is actually correct!  Also, it lends credence to the Renegade Doc’s somewhat “tongue in cheek” expression that God, Father, want to “make love” to us.  Father put us on the planet naked and unashamed, desiring to have a deep, intimate relationship with us.  He wants us to live Life with gusto, with pleasure, “orgasmically”!

Until next time, let’s strive to discover the deeper meaning of this level of living, and

Go in Health!

Backyard Project, Chopra & Time

This evening we began with a short discussion about my backyard project.  For more details go to the blog, The Urban Farmer.  Also be sure to check out my friend’s DVD on Growing Tomatoes for Health and Wealth noted in the sidebar to your right.  Besides some great info on tomatoes, he also gives insight on business mindset and principles that apply across the board.

The intent with the backyard project is to alter the landscape to make it a “massage room” environment, an extension of my massage room that has an exit into the backyard.

Then we got to the meat of the evening, discussing Deepak Chopra’s newest book, Reinventing the Body, Resurrecting the Soul.  In particular we talked about the fifth breakthrough, Making Time Your Ally. (What Dr. Chopra calls “breakthroughs” I would call “Renegade Ideas”!)

He points out that “time” is really an imbalance between energy expended and energy gained.  Later in the chapter he points out that at the point where time and timelessness meet is where the soul is.  “Be still and know that I am God.”  Deep quietness, time standing still.

He also points out that what makes “time” have its effect on our bodies are things that cause disruption or chaos in our daily rhythms.

He has a very practical list of things to do to alter and to bring back into balance those things. Don’t be distracted, don’t multitask, keep regular hours, don’t do high risk endeavors, etc.

I am also posting these on my Facebook Your Health Matters page in an ongoing feature I call “Chopra Tips”.

Go in Health,

Dr Jon

This week we begin a series of interviews with Renegades.

First up is Chuck Bartok, my friend and mentor.

He began with a dream and didn’t let the system tell him how to do it. As a scientist, farmer, insurance agent and more recently as a marketer, he always has marched to the drumbeat he heard in his head.

On the show today you will hear what influenced him to be his own self and his fascinating story to success.

For more on Chuck, click here….

To listen to Chuck’s ongoing wisdom and business-building direction, find him here…
